While visiting San Francisco we decide we would spent a few hours exploring the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco, California these Japanese gardens has a area of about four acres featuring Japanese architecture and stunning colorful Japanese gardens. If you have ever been to Japan, this is pretty reminiscent of the pagoda gardens in Japan. The landscape design is the same tradition. There are trails that are fun to meander on like a maze walk.
There was a small fee of $11 US entrance fee to get in but once your in these beautiful gardens you really feel like your in Japan. There's even a restaurant serving noodles and Miso and a gift shop that has cute toys and ceramics if your interested in taking home a souvenir.
On a nice day, it's a great weekend activity and we were there in the autumn season there were many Japanese maple trees and various other trees some with leaves on them and others trees without leaves but it all blended in so magically , it was really so colorful and tranquil walking around these gardens so much detail to look at the care that had gone into making this sensational garden it really did look like your were in Japan was just amazing to see.
There were little and bigger Japanese bridges all around the gardens a great place for wedding photos , ponds with beautiful Koi fish in them and even a lovely waterfall they really made this Japanese garden like a hidden oasis in the middle of San Francisco.
We were enjoyed looking at all the sculpted trees, bushes, the flowers they were so beautifully manicured it was like looking at art in nature.
The architectural stone pagodas were so nicely constructed certainly lots of hours had gone into them , laying all them small stone pebble rocks and the views from this pagoda was stunning giving you a full view of the pond and gardens and you could walk down little paths from the pagoda to get a close up of the beautiful Koi fish.
We found it a very peaceful environment to walk around with colorful plants, unique sculptures, water fountains, and large quantities of Koi fish every where as we walked we were wowed by how beautiful it was just overwhelmed with the prettiness and tranquility of this place.
A visual delight awaits around every bend...a total escape from the hustle of the city, the gardens were very meditative and worth spending time to appreciate each segment.
These gardens were a pure bliss the flowers and forest scents were unforgettable and calming. Definitely was worth the visit it felt like you stepped off the San Francisco streets into Japan! Plenty of space to wander and enjoy was a incredible site!
