Knowing me
Through my eyes all I see are billions and billions others just like me
beside me, underneath me and on top of me is more like me
I’m moved by wind and stormy seas
stepped on by feet searching to be free
Though there are billions and billions that just look like me
the difference comes when you search deep within me
Though I’m small in the middle of it all
You call me by my name, even though I’m just a tiny grain

This poem was inspired by how much God loves us. If He took the time to name each star that lights up the evening sky and named each little grain of sand underneath the vast heavens, how much more would He not know your name, your struggles, see your tears as well as the good you bring to this world.
