Desert Rain
I can see the clouds gather
as the exciting children scatter
into the mountains far away
smelling the dust settle into muddy clay

Just a little poem I wrote, inspired by a trip we took through the Kalahari dessert, South Africa. As we drove through this beautiful barren landscape, we could see the clouds building up darker and darker.
It was such a nice experience to see and smell the rain coming through this very dry desert.
The excitement of the locals was totally contagious!
