The Venezuelan is characterized by being a democrat, lover of freedom and justice, I do not escape from that, that's why I believe in suffrage and I have always supported this action as a means to elect our leaders, in recent years I have been going to vote, I have worked and supported those who do it in order to end this nightmare that our country has been going through for almost 20 years.
As we live in a dictatorship it is important clarify that this election are not to choose the president of the Republic but to legitimize those who now hold power, since these elections are vitiated from the first moment they were convened by a National Constituent Assembly, illegitimate.
Added to that is the advantage of the government candidate who uses the resources of the State for his electoral campaign, which threatens public employees with throwing them out of their jobs if they do not support it and buying the conscience of some citizens with boxes of food and bonuses that exceed the minimum wage; added to that is the scoundrels and opportunism of the other candidates who lent themselves to this circus without thinking about the needs of the country.
Last but not least, a National Electoral Council biased and completely dominated by the Executive, an organization that for years has invested figures that benefit the current regime, ignoring and consenting to the most recent complaints.
"By reliable sources of intelligence, we are aware of a plan of the Maduro regime, underway since the end of last year, to instruct and transfer Colombian citizens to vote next Sunday, May 20", Santos announced from the Casa de Nariño.
