What can be defined as honor killing
An honor killing can be defined as the murder of an individual
Which could be a member of a family, the killing is done by someone who claims to protect what they see as a form of dignity and honour of themselves or their family..
As for me I find the so called honour killing to be evil , wicked , heartless, pathetic and any other names that can be used to qualify such act..
An example of the story about a so called honour killing which I read recently was the story of a british-pakistani girl with the name "Shafilea Iftikhar Ahmed ".The young girl who was 17years old as at the time of her death was murdered by her parents in what they referred to as a honour killing because according to them they believe that she had become too westernised...That sounds crazy right ??
It was said that the parents of this young girl were imprisoned for more than twenty years for murder and the sentencing occured at August 2012 which is more than 8 years after her death..
It is very sad , the so called honor killings is very barbaric and there is nothing honourable about it..
