We all have encountered such instances in our life when we were not able to understand a topic and asked a question to ourselves, **am I a slow learner? ** or Am I not good enough to understand the topic?
This thought becomes more intense when we see that others are finding the same thing very easy. And this lays the foundation of our interest areas.
But we never tried to figure out why we find some subjects difficult to understand and others easy. If we can decode this, we can easily understand why we like or dislike a particular subject.
Is it some kind of divine power that brings us closer to some subjects and make us hate others?
Absolutely not!
Then why so?
While learning about a new thing, if you can link( connect the dots) the new topic to the previous knowledge, you will be able to understand the new topic or else find it difficult.
So, it is not a random phenomenon that you understand some subjects better than others, the real reason is the ability to connect the new knowledge to the previous one. If there is a gap, the subject becomes difficult.
And we think that we are not good at the particular subject. But this is not the case, there are many people who earlier hated a particular subject and in future, they turned out to be the best in the same field.
So, we can never label some subjects as interesting and others as boring, it is your "prior" knowledge that helps you understand more about a subject.
Or, if we find someone who briefs us on the same subject we disliked in such a manner that all the **gaps ** of prior knowledge are removed, we will start developing interest in that subject.
We cannot enjoy our life fully if we start labelling subjects as "boring" or "interesting". Life doesn't happen to us as particular subjects, it happens to us as an entirety.
Though ultimately there are no separate subjects, it is just one, LIFE.
Do you ever say that "I love my hand more than my feet"?
