The Gift
“Yes?”
She showed him the chocolate fondant.
She sat down and he brought her the dessert. Tears trickled unashamedly.
He left.
She was lost in thought when a hand pulled the untouched plate of pleasure. The icing syringe oozed a smile.
“Eat that and let the smile grow inside you.”
