Hi Steemit! :) Today is Valentine's Day, I also want to tell you about the love of fluffy. Did you know that succulents are fluffy? In any case, I'll show you! :) I have only a few fluffy succulents and I can’t say for 100% that I understand them. They look cool, but you can not get on them with water, brown spots form from the water, which spoil the view. :( The very bright sun can also influence, the fluff burns and also becomes brown.
Talking about fluffy today is not just like that, they need a transplant. :) Let's see what I have and what needs to be done.
In this pot are three different fluffy echeveria. I bought one of them from a collector, one grew out of a leaf lying on the floor of the store and presented one to me. :)
It’s immediately obvious that one echeveria is larger, I think it should be put in a separate pot.
In this pot I have an echeveria different from the previous ones, it is brighter and fluffier, and cotyledon variegata. Know what variegata is? This is a genetic mutation, as a result of which part of the plant cells does not contain chlorophyll, and therefore does not participate in photosynthesis. It sounds complicated, it looks interesting. It is difficult to obtain such plants; they are not obtained from the leaf. Therefore, the cost of such plants is many times, and even tens of times more than the cost of an ordinary green plant. :)
Cotyledon is a funny plant whose leaves look like bear paws .;)
I also have a stump with an Echeveria baby, which I want to separate and send to root.
I am delighted with this fluffy baby, I will wait until she grows up.
First, I cut the baby off the stump. Its trunk became so thick and hard that it was not easy to separate it, but I managed. The baby went to root with other cuttings.
At the end of the work, I got three new pots that you see in the photo. Stump remains to wait for the appearance of new children, and the cut off baby is waiting for the roots.
