Woke up quite early this morning just after 5AM, took the dogs out for a shid and came back to the PC workstation for the ritual social media crawl and portfolio price check when it donned on me that personally I don't know anyone so far that has come down with the Covid-19 that the media are hyping.
Now, trying to avoid diving into conspiracies and with realization that perhaps the sources of news on this subject that I'm aware of may be skewed in one direction or another it was decided to create a post here on our HIVE network as some form of community poll or study to have our community here share their experience in knowing people that have gotten Covid-19 and recovered or died from it, also those who don't know anyone who has contracted it comment as well. I'd like to see through sample of this community if the media is completely blowing this out of proportion as some sort of fear / control mechanism or if a very real threat is present with this global pandemic the media says we are facing.
So far, just as of writing this I'm informed that the local hospital here has 2 alleged active cases.
We've also supposedly got a trucking company with 10 people that were infected locally.
