Zelazny's "Lord of Light" had it right, in my opinion..

the god of the old testament was likely a high tech civilization from our past masquarading as a gods.

there is ample proof, like the there are no forests on flat earth that something else is going on.. let alone the pyramids in egypt, a civilization that started at its peak out of nowhere, apparently, and declined.

the theory of atlantis + flood story recorded around the world.. would appear to indicate a catastrophic event that destroyed an advanced civilization.. and the appearance of egypt/aztecs pyramids as proof that survivors of that civilization tried to recreate what was lost.

now we live in a time when folks are manipulating conditions to keep themselves on top.
