There is one simple question that once pondered upon, will reveal how hypocritical the so called "mainstream media" is on their laughable attempts at defending muslims and Islam.
I am vehemently anti-war and over the past few years as I see the West systematically attacking countries in the Middle East, I was up in arms about all the hurt, innocent people. Students who lost their chance at a decent education, shop owners that saw their entire businesses crumble from one airstrike, families sundered from the death and destruction.
Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, and Afghanistan.
Now in 2017 when the new US administration decides to impose a ban on refugees coming from the very countries we bombed and destroyed, on the basis of preventing the accidental import of radical individuals (which is a very real threat mine you, since the societies they come from are utterly destroyed and extreme conditions breed extreme people), the media is all up in arms about the muslims that are being targetted.
I am extremely surprised at how vocal the media suddenly is and how supportive they are of muslims now.
Notice a common trait of the 6 countries I listed where the US has active military involvement in over the past decade? Yes that's right they are all majority muslim nations. All of them. They are also the countries we are banning refugees from.
So the one question that needs to be answered is: is it racist to ban refugees from wartorn muslim nations but not racist when our government systematically destroys the very same nations we are banning refugees from in the past few years? Where was the media's outrage when that happened?
