Let's talk about Starlab (https://starlab-space.com/) and Stationships.
Stationships are a variant of Starship designed to build space stations - but what about using Starlab modules instead.
In my Space Station posts, the use of Stationships is to build space stations of all sizes is discussed. And build them quickly.
The good news is that with only a very small mod, Starlab can be swapped for the Stationships to create large gravity space stations or the same design as well.
Sure, they wouldn't be quite as big as the Starship cabin space since they still need to fit inside Starship for delivery to LEO, but each module is still around 400m3, which is a good size.
I used Stationships in the original designs because of the speed to build and deploy, but if other options like Starlab could achieve rapid build and deploy - they could be a good option.
Regardless, our space station future is looking more and more exciting every day.
