This is the start of some very long walks, in preparation for an upcoming multiple day hike before the end of summer. As it has been raining a lot recently the water on the trails made it impossible to do bush hikes. Walking on suburban streets and asphalt is not ideal but is a start.
Today's walk is from Wainuiomata to Wellington City Railway Station.
In hindsight it probably wasn't a good idea to start of at this distance. At the end of the walk into town the bottom of my feet got badly blistered so on the return journey I took the train which reduced the distance by 50%. The remaining walk home was slow and painful but still OK as things should only get better.
I miss using both Working Exhaust and PeakD Dapps, hopefully they will be back to running smoothly soon!
