🇬🇧 What you don't find when you wash your salad.
🇬🇧 A few days ago, when I washed the herbs I picked from our garden for a salad, I saw a small shell of snails in the bowl of water. I quickly lifted it out and put the clover (how I know it is one of them,...you can see that) on a gout leaf and waited. Thank God she soon moved.
🇬🇧 After a short time she became really awake and crawled away. I put a cent next to the gout so you can see how small it really is.
🇬🇧 I'm glad I picked up the camera when I saw the snail moving, because it's a real beauty.
🇬🇧 When we promised to take her right outside, we were allowed to take another picture of her and then she had no more lust.
🇬🇧 Since I always try to keep my promises, I put her on a salad leaf to feed her, took her outside and chose a very nice place for her.
🇬🇧 Well, who would have thought that, so an almost floater, even a model, with a supergage (salad leaf). All's well that ends well. And if she didn't die, she's still crawling today.
If you ever have problems with nudibranches, you should not cut them up, dissolve them in salt water, or choose any other cruel killing method. Sometimes you act imprudently, especially when the beloved flower or other things had to believe in it, but a snail doesn't eat it to annoy us, but because it is hungry.
But there are also more humane ways to protect your vegetables from nudibranches. Have you ever heard of tiger snow, also called tiger snails? They eat the eggs of the nudibranch (Spanish snail), which, as the name suggests, was imported from Spain. The tiger snail eats mainly dead roots and such. So we won't have a killer in the garden eating our flowers.
We always had snails in our garden, but the year before last was extremely bad. I had to send my treasure again and again to the cemetery, to "dispose of" the snails, he had fun. The old stinkers ate up all my cucumbers although I built a construction out of thin packing tape, actually they couldn't have crawled up there, well whatever.
There is one way to protect your plants and that would be a snail collar, but not the rubbed ones, they must have a smooth surface. You also have to glue copper tape around it and moisten the tape to make it oxidize. We tried everything to protect the plants, but only the snail collars really helped, at least until they were stolen from us. My God, what has the contribution become long, but now and then there is no other way.
