I am enjoying myself already with this fun journey on Hive especially within the Splinterlands community. My joy knows no bounds each time I am able to discover something new . I am taking the learning opportunities here more serious than I thought. Maybe I will soon write a book on how to start your successful journey in Splinterlands.
Today, I braved to do something. Opening one of my Riftwatchers packs, without a guide anywhere. When I saw this Tweet where @Splinterlands announced the time to open RW packs, I dropped a question but didn't get a reply. Already, many players have dropped theirs and I couldn't be left behind.
I successfully opened my First Riftwatchers Pack
Below are the steps that were taken to open my packs. It wasn't an easy ordeal.
I made bold to open my first Riftwatchers pack and it revealed two gold foils. I just hope I am right. Two of the 5 cards shown gold coloured cards. The cards are shown below from the least in value to the biggest.
Here's Bramble Pixie with a price value of $0.16
Here's Ash Mirage with a price value of $0.18
Here's Water Caller with a price value of $0.42
Here's gold Night Ghoul with a price value of $2.56
Here's my gold Whelp Herder with a price value of $2.57
The value of all 5 cards added together sums up to $5.89 as at the time of opening. $0.16 + $0.18 +$0.42 + $2.56 + $2.57 = $5.89. That should be a bit greater than the Value I purchased the pack. It was about $5 worth of SPS and 1 VOUCHER.
Will the value on these cards grow over time?
I just hope someone can answer the above question. I just hope it does increase. Maybe in the future, the cards may be worth $58 USD or higher.
What do I do with the Cards now?
I'm not sure of what to do to the cards at present. Maybe to rent it out and be getting some tiny DEC rewards until the value grows bigger for an outright sale.
I want to say a big thank you to the Splinterlands developers for the creativity in the game and marketing. Thank you too to the Hive users creating guide posts on the game. I hope to start active play of the game soon.
