And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. Acts 16:25 (KJV)
How do you explain singing praises in the midnight hour after a public disgrace and an unfair trial? Any rational human being would imagine that Paul and Silas should be tending each other’s wounds in the mid night and getting accustomed to a "not so comfy" sleep after the day's beating but they found purpose in the storm and decided to praise GOD yet.
Our external reality is not as important as our internal conversation. No matter what the devil throws at you, do not ever allow him steal your joy because with joy will you draw from the well of salvation. Paul and Silas prayed and praised in the prison house and not only were the doors flung open but all the inmates’ bands were loosened and the Jailer and his entire household were also saved. In worship, we reminiscence on GOD'S faithfulness knowing; if HE did it before HE can do it again.
I am determined to be joyful at all times because the joy of the Lord is my strength. I declare that nothing and no one can steal my joy. The fullness of joy is my portion this season in Jesus Name.
Blessings...
