Before the start of the match, everyone of us, I mean the super eagles supporters and well meaning Nigerian sport lovers expected nigeria to beat Madagascar with at least 5goals but hey, we had a shocker in the match.
The match started, the super eagles were in good control of the ball, pressing through every angel to get an opener but it wasn't yielding anything and before we knew it, the Madagascar had a corner and sluggishly sent the ball through a corner inside our net. It was a disappointing look. I felt really bad to see that Madagascar scored us when we were controlling the game. Gosh! I hate the scene of us controlling the game while the opponent is scoring. I hate it a lot.
Well, the game continued with more charges by the super eagles and just a few minutes to stoppage time, we scored through one of the new eagles call up, George Ilenikena. It was a superb goal and everyone would have roasted him if he had not scored that goal. Lol
After the first half break, the game continued, substitutions were made, the likes of Moses Simon, Tolu, Awoniyi, Moses Usor were brought in and what started like a joke, Usor took ball from our yard, ran to the box of Madagascar with three defenders against him, he dribbled two of them and scored. Yeeeeeeeey! The stadium and everywhere in Nigeria went in roar!
It's a good outcome despite the fact that we expected more goals. It's good we collected the three points which gets us on the track on the qualifiers series.
The next game is against Guinea-Bissau who claimed 3points against Tanzania in their first match.
