i learnt that the table means the church or is symbolic of the church in the bible and it is written in the book of Corinthians 10:21
there are two kinds of tables.
the LORD'S table and the devil's table.
A place where to feed is regarded as the church but in our recent times ,tables are full of vomit, lawlessness,deceits and dirts.
i learnt that there should be willingness to serve in the church of GOD.
we should not wait for us to be instructed before we carry out any task in the church of GOD.
There are some things that are good we can do in the church even if they are not assigned to us by GOD.
when we see that the church environment is not clean, and we clean it willingly,its good but we were not instructed by GOD to do it.
Doing things voluntarily means that we are being led by the HOLY SPIRIT.
willingness has a reward.
some of the other things we can do willingly are :
- making a vow.
- paying of offerings or contribution in the church.
- there are some people who vow not to marry,its a choice they took but prohibiting anyone who is ripe from marrying is not right.
the apostles had wives and they had children.
what does a vow mean?
i learnt that it means that is when one imposes the obligation to fulfill a promise on oneself.
it is written in the book of Acts 18:18 that even the apostles of JESUS made vows and they kept it
keeping a vow is very crucial and important because if we keep or stay to true to our vow,GOD wont be angry at us
- giving of offerings or contribution in the house of GOD is voluntarily,infact it is given according to what one purposes in his heart,it is not forced and offerings or contribution should not have a fixed price or any amount attached to what we give as offering or contribution.
Giving of offerings and contribution is not mandatory and it should not be imposed on anyone.
The offering in the true church is according to one's decision only.
I also learnt that the offering boxes in the church should be kept at the front of the church and it should not be brought to the members of the church one after the other.
The reason why it should be kept at the front of the church is for anyone to walk voluntarily to the box and cast or make his offering or donation or contribution.
Offering given by the brethren in the church should be use to propagate the gospel not for the pastor to take it as if it was given to him.
There are people who know how to volunteer and willing to do anything in the house of GOD.
