You can’t take something from a man who has knowledge. Nothing is yours until you understand it. John 8:32 When you get healing or deliverance, you need the word to move into liberty.
The power of God is driven by the wisdom of God. There is knowledge and technology behind the manifestation of the power of God. If you know the technology behind the power of God, you can work it out. Proverbs 4:20-22 - Healing comes from what you hear. Psalm 103:3 - Healing and forgiveness go hand in hand.
The sickness of the soul is sin. When you get rid of sin, you get rid of sickness. There was no sin in the world until Adam sinned. How do you get rid of sin?
- Faith - What is faith based on? Knowledge. The bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. God sent his word and the Word saved us. God also sent His word and His Word healed us. If you can hear the Word, you can be saved. If you can hear the Word, you can be healed.
- The Cross - The sinless Jesus hung on that cross as a substitute for a sinful world. That sacrifice dealt with the sin which is the source of sickness. If you can understand what Jesus did on the cross, that the price has been paid for sin, you can be delivered. If you understand that that same price also paid for sickness, you can be healed.
- Receiving Forgiveness - 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us. If you confess sin and hold on to guilt, what it means is that you do not believe God has forgiven you. If you can release your guilt, you can receive forgiveness, if you can receive forgiveness, you can be healed.
