This study done by Just Facts which is a conservative think tank states that in 2008 it suspects that 5.7 million illegal immigrants voted in the 2008 election. This accusation is huge because it gives legitamacy to President Trump's claim that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote because of illegals, or even the dead voting. Vice President Mike Pence is spearheading an effort to find out its effects on the 2016 election. It is widely known that immigrant minorities vote overwhelmingly Democrat, so Trump could very well be right that he should of won the popular vote, thank god for the electoral college. This study done by Just Facts is also supported by similarities in data collected by professors at Old Dominion University in Virginia. The significance of this is what if John McCain or Mitt Romney really won the election? Is this why Democrats are against building the wall on the Mexican border and deporations? Is it really just about illegal votes? I would have to say so, I mean just take a look at California. All the social benefits that state has is geared towards getting the illegal vote. Voter registries across the nation aren't up to date and this has allowed for dead people and people who have moved to other locations to vote. Illegals have many ways of showing false identification it is part of what they have to do in order to stay in country, I know a couple I have seen it. I am only surprised that the number that they came up with is this low, I'd thought it'd be massively higher than 5.7 million but that is high enough, that's 4% of the total electorate, which is enough to change elections.
