I joined this platform sometime in February after buying a course that promised that I could just post twice a day and make enough money to live lavishly. Oh, how all the hype caught my eyes. Of course, I got a refund from those people but I don't blame them. You have to wrap your product up so that it looks good enough to catch some fools lol. A fool I was.
After I joined I was posting like a madman each day. Seeing my steemit rank climb daily was like dopamine to the brain. And it kept me going. But as you could imagine, a flame burning without fuel goes out in time. I started learning more and more about steemit and realized that people don't generally give two crap about the quality of your posts if you are a minnow. They will only support you if you have a big enough upvote to give them.
On the other hand, most of the people earning large from their posts either bought votes from a bid bot or they had 10000s of dollars worth of steem power. I don't have that kinda money to throw around so those heights were unattainable. I quickly learned that unless I place money into steemit I wouldn't get anywhere. I didn't have a problem with this but I just didn't have any cash at all.
So I guess you can say that all the hype of joining this platform was just hype.
They say you join for the money and you stay for the community. So right they were. I absolutely love the people on here. Especially the people in the Vegan Discord channel I am a part of. It's been great just talking to people and getting to bond with completely stranger through the value they find within you. That's awesome.
I hardly read posts of people who are outside of my follow list as I am trying to stay focused and build on these relationships.
Another reason why I am still here is the passion I gain from all the writing. I can pour out my heart and soul into this and know that at least one lonely soul will appreciate it, and that's enough for me.
This is like a diary from my heart and mind that will be here at all times. It makes you feel like you are a part of something important you know.
And of course, I am sticking around until the steem price hits 100USD. I am not a quitter and whatever I find passion in I give it my all. Money isn't everything but neither is my ex.
Haha, if you thought this was going to be a long post you have been had and you are all welcomed. I leave you now with this awesome song about money and I do hope you enjoy.
Just know that I miss you so so so.
King Anima.
