Great writing, but magical thinking. People have hands and this enables us to do work with tools to create quality of life that isn't just waiting for us in the permanent state of war that is wilderness. Every blade of grass is in a life and death struggle to take what it needs from it's neighbors that undertake the same existential contest.
Run into the woods naked, and die quickly to feed the ants, fungi, and pretty flowers that will consume your corpse. Best you stay home, whip up a can or box of dinner, and watch TV so you can live in sybaritic luxury, as you are accustomed.
Recite some magical spell and conjure up angelic spaceships to whisk you off to interstellar paradise if you can. Then put pen to paper, hammer to nail, and saw to plank to make one. You'll soon find both impossible to you. Humanity thrives today not because of magic, but because people working together can make miracles happen.
Someday our posterity will be whisked away to interstellar paradise, but not by the magic of prayer. It will happen because we worked together to make it happen.
