Poyla Boishakh or Pohela Boishakh is the first day of Bangabda, i.e. Bengali New Year. The day is the traditional New Year's Day of all Bengali nations. The day is celebrated with special festivities as New Year in Bangladesh and West Bengal, India.
As soon as the word of Pahela Boishakh or Bengali New Year celebration comes to mind, the food of Panta-ilish comes out with open mouth. If there is no feast of fried hilsa, burnt chilli, fried eggplant, aluvarta and panta hilsa in the morning, the celebration of Boishakh will be ruined.
