Hello, how are you? I want to show you some pictures I took set in the 50's, but at the same time with a touch of the present.
For those who don't know, at that time women only had the goal of being the perfect housewife, focusing on domestic activities or directing (in the case of upper class women), their children and their husband. And sadly for some, educational and work opportunities were somewhat left aside.
But I tell you of so many films I saw, there were women with husbands who did support the ideas of having a more educated and free life partner to grow in the work environment. That is admirable, and in my opinion, a great sign of love and a great advance for modernity.

驴Hola c贸mo est谩n? Les quiero mostrar unas fotos que hice ambientadas en los a帽os 50 , pero a su vez con un toque de la actualidad .
Para los que no saben, en esa 茅poca la mujer solo ten铆a como objetivo ser la perfecta ama de casa, con el hecho de enfocarse en actividades dom茅sticas o dirigir (en el caso de mujeres de clase alta), en sus hijos y su esposo. Y tristemente para algunas dejar de cierta forma a un lado oportunidades educativas y laborales.
Pero les cuento de tantas pel铆culas que vi, hab铆a mujeres con esposos que si apoyaban las ideas de tener una compa帽era de vida m谩s culta y libre de crecer en el 谩mbito laboral. Eso es admirable, y en opini贸n propia una enorme muestra de amor y un gran avance para la modernidad.
I really like to take pictures of this style even though I'm not that good at it and give a not so superficial explanation, I mean not just show the characteristics of the photos and that's it, but give a much more personal, educational or reflective background.
Continuing with the theme for this era it was crucial to be fashionable, I really like the idea that it was represented by greats of the fashion industry such as Christian Dior, I thank God that this man was born with an exquisite gift in creating art with fabrics.
The fashion of the 50's was characterized by an elegant and feminine style. That's why I wore a dress, a pearl necklace, earrings, make-up and an attempt at the hairstyle of the time.

Me gusta mucho tomar fotos de este estilo a pesar de no ser tan buena en eso y dar una explicaci贸n no tan superficial, me refiero a no solo mostrar las caracter铆sticas de las fotos y ya, sino dar un trasfondo mucho m谩s personal, educativo o reflectivo.
Siguiendo con el tema para esta 茅poca era crucial estar a la moda, a m铆 me gusta mucho la idea de que fue representada por grandes de la industria de la moda como Christian Dior, le doy gracias a Dios por que naci贸 ese se帽or con un exquisito don en crear arte con las telas.
La moda de los a帽os 50 se caracteriz贸 por un estilo elegante y femenino. Por eso me puse un vestido, un collar de perlas, zarcillos, maquillaje y un intento de peinado al de la 茅poca.
In fact, women took pictures in a variety of ways, from using home cameras to posing for portraits in photographic studios. Because photography was or rather always will be our little museum to remember what we were.
On the one hand, photography at home was done with medium format cameras, here I did some research and I found out that they were like the Rolleiflex, which at that time were popular for their image quality and ease of use. I mean it was the boom and from a wider perspective it sure was very exciting and without the need to use filters like today. It sounds a bit crude, but if you were ungraceful looking there would be no way to retouch, but with the clothing of the time at least it helped.

En si las mujeres tomaban fotos de diversas maneras, desde usar c谩maras de uso hogare帽o hasta posar para retratos en estudios fotogr谩ficos. Porque la fotograf铆a era o mejor dicho siempre ser谩 nuestro peque帽o museo para recordar lo que fuimos.
Por un lado las Fotograf铆as en el hogar eran con c谩maras de formato medio, aqu铆 si investigue y salen que eran como las Rolleiflex , que para esa 茅poca eran populares por su calidad de imagen y facilidad de uso. Es decir era el boom y desde una perspectiva m谩s amplia seguro era muy emocionante . y sin necesidad de usar filtros como en la actualidad. Suena un poco crudo, pero si eras de un aspecto poco agraciado no habr铆a forma de retocar, pero con la vestimenta de la 茅poca al menos ayudaba.
Common photos were of their families, friends, pets and everyday scenes with a touch of spontaneity, although in my case everything was very produced and planned.
I didn't really want to talk about Studio type photos because I would be going out of the theme I'm trying to give the illusion of homemade and with a modern touch. But I will share a small fact. In the studios they did use retouching, obviously not like the filters of your favorite app, but at least with that artificial lighting they created dramatic effects and highlight the facial features.

Fotos comunes eran a sus familias, amigos, mascotas y escenas cotidianas con un toque de espontaneidad, aunque en mi caso todo fue muy producido y planificado.
No ten铆a muchas ganas de hablar de fotos tipo Estudios porque me saldr铆a del tema que intente con estas fotos que den ilusi贸n de caseras y con toque moderno. Pero si compartir茅 un dato peque帽o. En los estudios si utilizaban retoques, obviamente no como los filtros de tu aplicaci贸n favorita, pero al menos con esa iluminaci贸n artificial creaban efectos dram谩ticos y resaltar los rasgos faciales.
Certain classic poses were followed and I thought a lot when I was looking on the internet how to pose, that certain people who had their pictures taken, put an expression of haughtiness, arrogance or without expression some looked like more projected, elegant, or simply people with a lot of respect and authority than those who smile and I wanted to try it too.
And no doubt makeup and wardrobe were important to create a polished and sophisticated image. Black and white photography was the norm at the time, although color was already being experimented with.

Se segu铆an ciertas poses cl谩sicas y pens茅 mucho cuando , buscaba en internet como posar .Pues que a ciertas persona que se les tomaban fotos, pon铆an una expresi贸n como de altivez , soberbia o sin expresi贸n algunas se ve铆an como mas proyectadas , elegantes , o simplemente personas con mucho respeto y autoridad que las que sonreir谩n y quise intentarlo tambi茅n.
Y sin duda alguna el maquillaje y el vestuario eran importantes para crear una imagen pulida y sofisticada. La fotograf铆a en blanco y negro era la norma en aquella 茅poca, aunque ya se experimentaba con el color.
And you know the best thing about old photos is that whether they are yours, a relative's or an acquaintance's, they are a valuable treasure with many background stories to tell to the new generations, or simply to spend some time with the family looking at photos to laugh, cry, dream, reflect and love.

驴Y saben que es lo mejor de fotos antiguas? es que as铆 sean tuyas, de alg煤n familiar o conocido, son un tesoro valioso con muchas historias de trasfondo por contar a las nuevas generaciones, o simplemente para pasar un rato en familia viendo fotos para re铆r, llorar, so帽ar, reflexionar y amar
