The last X podcast about web3 global talks Dec 15 was more than I anticipated, I got to listen to creators talk about their gaming projects on the Blockchain and was wondering at a point where I have been all these while. The thing about most of these web3 games is that they are mostly P2E (Play 2 earn) games. Splinterlands is fun, but after reading about some of these games, I can say they are more fun than I imagined. Although I haven't seen any that matches Splinterlands for me, maybe because I have only researched them and have yet to gain first-hand experience with them. But on second thought an interesting read should be an interesting game right… until I get the first-hand experience though, I will reserve the comparison comment.

DCROPS
This is the first game I decided to research, and I must say I'm pretty impressed by what I saw about the game. Dcrops just like the name implies is a game of crops. You can check here for more information about the game. The game gives a digital view of real-world agriculture where you can buy a digital farm, plant digital crops, and harvest them. What impressed me the most in my research was how season features were added to the game to give it a real-life experience. Each season lasts for 15 days which allows you to grow certain kinds of crops alone.
The best part of this game is that you can harvest your crops and sell them for crop tokens, or hold them for hive rewards. Another interesting thing is that players of the game can choose to sell their harvested crops to get a share of the reward pool for the season. And the more crops a player sells in one season, the more CROP tokens the player will receive at the end of the season. I've already added this game to the list of games I will be playing next year, I would need to get my land NFTs ready before I can fully start.
RISING STAR
Rising Star is a music-based game for music lovers. A player only needs to create a music band and become a music star. Unlike Dcrops, Rising Star is a free-to-join game and requires no investment to join. But then again, to rise faster you will need to purchase cards (NFTs) from the Rising Star marketplace. Players can earn STARBITS tokens whenever they complete missions in the game, which can be swapped for hive and other tokens. I have earned the STARBITS token once when I attempted to play the game some months back, but when my phone got bad, I had to stop and I didn't play it afterward. I will also be sure to get into the game once I get the time.
