I got to listen to Brother Eli's message today concerning God's time, and just like always, it was full of wisdom. He answered a question I have gotten a lot of times, which is; HOW DO I KNOW IT'S GOD'S TIME? The answer I normally give is that you will always know when God's time comes, and if I should admit that answer is very true although not entirely complete for someone who's yet to understand God's way. Not every time is God's time, and God's will is always done in God's time. This new understanding I've gotten has made me stop regretting some scenarios of missed opportunities because, in the real sense, those opportunities weren't really God's time.

According to Brother Eli, once you follow God's commandments and will and you are sure to be devoted to it, you will not ask what God's timing is. This is because like I said earlier, God's will and God's time are intertwined. You can not do God's will outside God's time. God's will is always done in God's time. Brother Eli emphasized the need for discernment in understanding God's timing, but not to forget, that you can not discern when you are not doing God's will in the first place. And the best way to do God's will is to follow what is written in the scriptures by that, you will be very sure to Know the will of God.
Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith
Bro Eli explained From here that one of the ways to know God's timing is the opportunity we have to do good. There are times we get the promptings or find the need to do good (God's will) but the opportunity is often not available for such. But then there are times again when the opportunity arises, and those are the times we must ensure we do God's will because it is God's time. Not that God's will is always good, Satan will never allow you to do good, instead, he will want to corrupt the good with evil intentions to make sure you do not do the will of God.
You can not do what is good every time you want to do it, brother Eli made me realize personally that Satan is always working to hinder the good we often want to do, but when God creates an opportunity for good, we must ensure to do it because at that point it isn't Just God's will, it is God's time. Paul made this clear when he wrote to the Thessalonians in 1 Thessalonians 2:18
Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
So you see here that Paul had good intentions of fellowshiping with his Thessalonica brothers, but Satan hindered him. Now looking back at our lives (I know it doesn't just affect me) a lot of the times we wish we would do something good, but somehow we are hindered and it's as though things are not working out as we have planned. At this point, we shouldn't lose faith but hold on to our good intentions trusting that God will open up an opportunity for us to do them to his glory.
