Nobody is perfect, but we all wish to be excellent at least. For everyone that chooses to be excellent, there are always prices to pay. So the question is can you pay the price. This was one of the conversations my mum held with me growing up which has made me evolve over time. But then there are things that are just so difficult for me to do, things I've been struggling with since I was a child and I wish I could change but for some reason, I can't just get it right no matter how hard I try. Although I have overcome a few of them, one of the main ones that is still a thorn in my flesh is reading.

SOURCE

I wouldn't say I hate reading, but then I have always found it difficult. I easily lose concentration when I try to read. It started with me not being able to read for an hour straight when I was little. My mum would often whoop me so hard because of that in the process of trying to make me concentrate but it never worked. When I entered the higher institution I had to find a way to manage it all. Seeing that I'm a really good listener, I tried to always be in class and recorded a lot of my lectures. I only read the important things while the not so important things flow naturally.

Today It's hard to read 10 minutes straight, I have a really low attention span and if you don't know how to write a copy, it will be really hard to get me to read. This is why I have a lot of audio books. Even on hive, I listen to posts instead of reading them. I would so much love to read for a long time. I usually envy people who that a lot, but unfortunately, it's something I find difficult even to date.
