I just heard about this project here on Hive which sounds pretty cool, it's a game called Wrestling Organization Online. But, the game isn't the first thing I heard about the game. I came across This Post. In the best @namelessnameless talks about the different methods of earning WOO, which seems to be the native token for the game. It can be earned, in a few ways, but one that was described in their post was buying and staking the coin on Hive Engine.
I had noticed some WOO coming into my account and I wasn't sure where or how I got it. I had staked some of it and when searching in the list I discover that 4.3ish WOO had been staked and there were over 26 liquid WOO sitting there. So that must have been earned over the last while that I've had WOO staked, I went into the market then and bought about $33 worth of it, which gave me nearly 7,000 of them, with the intention of Staking and leaving them alone for a few days to see how it does.
After that, I moved on and found This Post where @irisworld talks about a few more ways to earn the token, like delegations, which can earn delegators back about 28% APR and a portion of this is paid back in daily WOO.
But, what is it? I wondered, and what's the game like. So I went onto the main account @wrestorgonline and read This Post which spoke about the game and within the post were links, which brought me to the main site.
The Game
After following directions at the bottom of the post I found the main site for the game and did some exploring, it is well laid out and in a few minutes, I had gone through it. I found that in some sections you can see how much WOO you have earned, it seems to be updated in real-time, within the few minutes of Staking my WOO I had a small amount sitting there, I also Delegated 100 HP to the account and I then went over to the Hive Engine and bought a few packs.
I opened one Alpha pack and got a few wrestlers.
With them I went and played a few games, I chose 1 of the 9 available wrestlers, the other 8 of which I didn't have, and then I went and done a few matches.
The game simulates the matches so there is no real gameplay yet, but we are greeted with a fun animated introduction of each wrestler. The fights play out in real in about 5 minutes, it entails the wrestlers taking turns fighting until each wrestler's health drops, leaving the last one standing the winner.
You can speed up the match to only about 1 minute, or you can skip right to the results. I think it will be cool when these matches are filled with real players, as I did find myself on the edge of my seat while hoping that Billy would win. He got to the final round a couple of times and then he won a match, which I was happy about, but I don't think I got anything for it.
I then went and Staked all 5 NFTs and I believe I'll earn a portion of WOO for each of them, once a day. In the form of winnings, which I think is a pretty cool idea.
I then went and bought 3 packs, one of each, an Alpha, Raven, and Saturn pack. Each of these is supposed to give rewards, for keeping them unopened.
This project seems pretty interesting and using a few of the methods for earning I'm curious about what the returns might be, I have only put about $70 into the game so far. Which in the grand scheme of things isn't a lot of money, especially if the returns are good, I'll be able to sell the WOO, Packs, and Cards if I ever want to in the future, but for now, I'm happy to put that bit of money into the game, just to see how much of the token I might earn.
The Waiting Game
For now, I'll sit tight for about a week and come back with an update on how much WOO I've made and how much it's worth.
I'm not advising anyone to go and invest in this project, I did, because I'm curious about it and don't mind putting some money into something like this, especially if it's a win-win. I do think anyone interested should check out some of the posts I mentioned before and do some reading on the project yourself, before deciding to put any money into it.
