Backstory On How I Found Hive
How I came across Hive, was through a YouTube video I saw talking about Crypto Gaming. I had no idea that Crypto Gaming existed, but, thought it was a cool idea. Through the rabbit hole, I found out about blogging sites/ social media where you can earn Crypto from posting content. Through that I heard about Steem, so I started up an account and posted one or two things to it. I floated around a bit reading and talking with some people and two days later nothing was happening on it so I went to Reddit to find out if anyone had any tutorials for what to do on the platform.
Through some digging I heard about Hive, so came over to see what Hive was like, I made a post and had people reaching out to me in the comments and actually talking. Which I didn't find on the other site.
So, I decided to focus solely on Hive. One thing which made it stand out as an easy-to-use/ access platform was the 
Another thing I thought was cool, was how one account can access every platform that Hive has to offer. Which is one thing I tell anyone I know, as I think it is a real selling point to anyone who's new here.
Instantly I had people from 
Why I Love Hive
Any time I write a post I always think afterward, I should have said this, or I should have added that. But, I'll do my best to put into words what I love about Hive.
A Sense of A Global Community.
I know the internet, in general, is a global community, but, Hive has given me a chance to talk with people from all over the world which I think is really cool.
The Chance To Earn Money For Posting.
The fact that posting as you would on any other platform has a chance to earn some sort of monetary reward is great. There are so many well-established sites out there that offer the same, but, recent changes to them have almost put a wall up in front of people stopping them from earning or even in some cases being seen unless you reach a threshold.
Like YouTube, for example. You need 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time before you can even be considered for earning money. Which, to someone just starting out with YouTube it can be enough to kill their ambitions. Hive, 3speak, Vimm, and Dtube though are the opposite, there is no algorithm that chooses one person over another and I think that is refreshing.
Being Apart of The Future.
This kind of relates to the previous thing I said. But, I feel that the Hive Blockchain and sites like this are the future of social media. Once, this site is more well known I have a feeling that it could topple the giants out there now, or force them to change their ways and start paying its users, in an attempt to stay relevant and keep people on their platforms. I'm glad I found my way here when I did.
It reminds me of a song by one of my favorite bands. A song that was written about the music industry and how they rip off bands, but, I think it works when talking about the social media giants too.

Obviously, there are people who will always use the established platforms and never look further than them. But, within the next few years, I think the tide is going to break and recede. As it has already started to happen.
It Gives Me A Creative Outlet
Hive has given me the ability to read and write long-form content, which I'm grateful for because I hadn't found a platform like it, until Hive.
I love writing and creating, since joining Hive I have found many great communities for all kinds of things. I've written chapters and short stories, game reviews, movie reviews, and just general blogs. For that, I couldn't be happier.
Confidence
I've always wanted to do reviews on YouTube. But, have always been a bit shy. But, since writing on here and receiving some great feedback I've had the idea to take some previous posts and record myself reading them as a script which I could then post to 3speak or YouTube. Just for the fun of it really, I'm not there yet. But, I feel that I'm coming out of my shell so that is another reason I love Hive.
Conclusion
Those are some of the things I love about Hive and I can't stress enough how much I appreciate all of the people I have met through this platform and all of the different communities that I've joined since being here.
