Me and my partner were out with a few friends for drinks the other night and the topic of elf on the shelf came up and they asked if we'd be doing it with our son when he gets older. See, I always thought the whole thing was that the elves moved from place to place and had to be found. But, was told that they're also meant to play tricks like this. When I heard that I burst out laughing, I'll 100% be doing this over the next few years as he gets older.
