Hi everyone.
Over the last few months I have accumulated over 250 Hive Power and I'm going to delegate it all to the first person to comment down below using the phrase. "Shut up and Gimme Hive."
This is going to be a painful post to write, but, I have thought about it long and hard over the last couple of weeks. I have decided to leave the platform. I don't know at this stage whether or not I'll be back, but, don't be sad about it. Know that it's just time for me to move on and get on with other things.
Also know that everyone I have met on here has been such, open, generous, patient and kind people. So, it isn't because of anyone on this platform. Even though I'll be away from it I'll still recommend it to anyone I know that shows the slightest interest in crypto or decentralized social media platforms.
Reasons
There are a few, but, I'll write some down here.
Reason 1, I feel burnt out from the writing and am out of ideas to write about. Before I would write and think at the same time, now, I sit at the laptop for what feels like hours just to write a few paragraphs. I think it's the daily posting since January till now that has done it, purely my own fault.
Reason 2, I have a lot of stuff going on at the moment in my life and I just think I should focus my attention on these other projects.
Reason 3, Well, it's something that has been a nagging thought in the back of my mind for a while now. So, I think it's probably a good thing to give that thought some attention.
Communities To Join
Here is a list of some communities that have really helped me understand so much that I didn't know when I first joined and I think they are people and places to check out for the reasons I'll list below.
@theterminal they are a great community geared towards helping people on their journey of discovering what Hive is all about. Once you have learned all that, you can stick around for some great chats with its numerous members, they're all great. Discord Link.
@ocd is another great community full of great people who are quick to help and easy to talk to and joke around with once you're settled in, here on the platform. Discord Link.
@psyberx if you haven't heard about this game being made here on the platform you should check it out, it's to be a first-person and third-person shooter which will operate with a play-2-earn model that gamers and crypto enthusiasts alike can appreciate. Discord Link.
@cinetv are a great Community geared towards all aspects of cinema and tv, they have a lot of cool people involved and run some amazing contests each week to really get us all thinking and remembering back to some of our favourite films. Discord Link
@worldbuilder is another great community geared towards writers and World Building I have joined a lot of their daily prompts and they have always been a great source of inspiration giving us ideas for what to write about. Discord Link.
That is a short list of some communities everyone should look into, in my humble opinion. I have enjoyed my time with each and I'm sure you will too.
On With My Final Power-up
At the time of writing this today, I had 240 HP, earned through 3 previous PUDs and just what I've earned from posting on the platform since December. It's an achievement I think and a testament to the Hive Blockchain. Showing that in a short space of time you can join here and build your account up from 5HP in no time really. So long as you're active in the community.
There we have it, I've hit 260 HP, which I am pretty proud of. That's it then.
Thanks, everyone for being such great people and introducing me to all you have over these last few amazing months. I won't forget it, I said it before and I'll say it again. This is the future of social media. I'm glad to have been a part of it for as long as I was and to be taken in with open arms. It means a lot.
But, now. In the words of Freddy Mercury - "Goodbye everybody. I've got to go."
Yours forever, with joyful memories,
KILLERWOT.
