I was scrolling through Facebook Marketplace and came across an ad for a some Adidas Superstars for €25, and then I noticed the Lego symbol on the box.
Opening the box lid has this front cover displaying the shoes on them.
Well, I should say shoe, because there's only one inside.
I got this for a bargain, because online they go for about €60 - €80, and to get them for €25 is decent. However, in the back of my mind I'm thinking of just keeping them for myself and displaying them on a stand.
I'll be putting it back together over the coming days, and there isn't much re-assembling needed, but to be fair, I might take them apart completely and start from scratch.
They're such an unusual set, and I didn't even know they existed. I'm so glad I found the listing when I did, because this would have been sniped by someone else within a matter of minutes/ hours.
Originally I was going to give this to my mum because she's a big fan of Adidas, but she told me that since she's trying to de-clutter the house she told me to keep it.
I'll be putting this together over the next few days, and will do a post about it. I have an idea for how I want to display it, and all I actually need is a shelf to put them on. I do have a spare shelf in my bedroom, but I kind of want this to be in the office.
I may put it up online for a silly amount of money, higher than the average person, if it sells it sells, and if it doesn't I'll just hold onto it.
