Hi and welcome to my HPUD post, usually I take this as an opportunity once a month to post about how the previous month went for me and fill in my friends here on Hive about anything that is going on in my life. Without further ado, let's get to it!

The Music
November. What a month, I was able to play with some absolute legends, Bad Manners, and in doing so, saw the return of Dangerous Dave and the Side Effects after a long time off, due to the lockdowns. But, it feels good to be back gigging again. We have 1 gig in December and hopefully, 3 lined up for January with this band, then there are The Undercovers, the cover band I'm in who are going to be playing a few gigs in December and as we come into January we will hopefully be branching out of our town, to start playing in a few towns and villages around us. Which would be amazing I think!

Scriptwriting
The Hive film script which I'm writing is coming along nicely and we received a good amount of reviews back from members of the community who were able to give some details publicly, but, more importantly, they were able to give us some private feedback to let us know that we're on the right track with the film and the review team enjoyed to doses of comedy spread throughout the plot of the film. The events are based on the Hive fork which created this ecosystem and while it is a complicated story to put into words, I have really enjoyed it and have found it to be a challenge, although, not challenging enough to scare me away from the project.

Psyber X
The playtest of the much-anticipated game being built here on Hive has been given out to a few prominent members of the Psyber X community. I'm delighted to say that I am among the few to be given access to the game, I'm really looking forward to getting into the game and checking it out! But, I'm sad to say I haven't had a chance to play it yet, I will rectify this soon though. With everything that's been going on, I just haven't had time to sit down and enjoy it.

Da Baba
The baby is strong and healthy and my partner's belly has been growing by the day, currently, the little thing is about 22 weeks old and is 1 pound in weight. It's crazy to think that it's only the size of my hand, because when looking at the baby in the scans it's so detailed and I would just assume it was much larger. My girlfriend is finding the whole experience great, other than a few things, her hips have been at her which has been giving her some pain and she's had a few foods turn her stomach randomly throughout the experience, one of which is tomatoes, so no pizza, pasta, spaghetti or ketchup for her, for the foreseeable. All those things aside, it's been great and we've been picking out prams and that kind of stuff, which has been fun.

NaNoWriMo
I joined NaNoWriMo this year, which I wanted to use to kind of kick things into top gear and finish off the Novella I've been writing here on Hive and I'm happy to say it is very close to being complete. It was cool being able to accomplish that goal, while also being able to post here on Hive as part of NaBloPoMo. Which, sadly, I failed, as I missed a few days out of the month due to some other commitments, but, you know what, I don't mind all that much and I don't beat myself up over the odd missed day here and there.

With all of these things said and before I think of some other stuff to write about, I feel it would be a good time to move on with the post and get to the HPUD.

HPUD Goal
Last month I set myself a bit of an out-there goal, I was sitting pretty at 1,596 HP and decided because of NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo, I thought I would test myself by expanding my previous goals and aim to reach 1,850 HP by the 1st of December. That would mean increasing my account by 250 HP, including the Hive I would power up by on the first of the month.

I think the drop in price as all of the crypto markets crashed, including our home here, may have been a factor in the end result. But, I'm happy to say that I achieved my goal!

Before starting the process of Powering Up I had reached 1771 HP, that's only from posting nearly every day this month and at that, almost every one of my posts, were fiction posts, as I worked towards completing the Novella I'm writing at the moment.

I think reaching nearly 200 HP by just posting is such an achievement and to be honest, I think it could have only happened if the price of Hive decreased as it did this month.

I've been converting my HBD directly to Hive as soon as a post payout comes in, it's what, 3 Hive to every 1 HBD right now. That's an amazing deal, to be honest, and I would much rather power up my Hive, especially for the foreseeable while to market stabilises a bit more.

I decided to power up by the same amount I have been in previous months, 100 Hive.

That's another reason I like to convert my HBD straight away. I like to make sure that I have over 100 Hive sitting there, ready for the next HPUD.

There we have it, I am currently sitting at 1871 HP. This is a number I wouldn't have thought I could have reached in 1 year of being here, I have really found that in the last couple of months my HP has increased ridiculously. Back in September for example, I only had 1100 HP, and in July I had only reached 500 HP.

Advice For New Hivians
Have fun with your work here on Hive, interact with people, comment on their work and let them know that they're doing something right, and let them know what they can improve on. If you think you see someone struggling a little bit, give them some advice or point them in the direction of someone they can get some help from. It can be confusing here, but the more we help each other, the stronger our community becomes!

Also, power up! If you can of course, but, honestly, I don't know how it has happened so fast. It took me about 6 or 7 months to hit 500 HP, 2 months later, I hit 1100, and now, 3 months after that, I have nearly hit 2000. To me that is crazy, it truly is like a snowball rolling downhill and I've reached a point where I can feel that my account has some weight behind it. I still have a long way to go, but, I'm enjoying every step of it!

I think another important thing to do is set goals, but, be realistic with them, starting out small with some easy-to-achieve goals will boost your morale and help you to accomplish and grow in a healthy way and with confidence.

Next Goal

For my next goal, I would like to hit 2100 HP by the 1st of January. Maybe I won't be able to do it. But, I think I can.

Happy Hiving! I hope everyone else has a nice HPUD!
