Hello, and happy new year, Hive fam, I hope these last couple of weeks have been great and productive for each and every person here. I have a really good feeling about the new year and I think 2023 will be amazing.
2022 Recap
It was a fruitful, productive, exciting and in general great year, but, don't get me wrong the year obviously had its downs. I think some of the downs were outweighed by the ups.
One thing I would talk about is the market and all the madness this year has seen in the Crypto world. I'm over the moon that I found Hive though. I think this platform has changed my life and it has given me so many opportunities to learn and earn and most importantly get to meet so many amazing people who have helped me in so many aspects of my life. From helping me out with writing advice, commissioning me for work, or even just teaching me more about blockchain tech and Crypto in general.
I think everyone here knows that there is something special about Hive, even based solely on the attitudes of the users. I haven't been hearing any FUD... What's that saying from The Godfather? "When you can keep your head, while everyone around you is losing theirs. You'll know you're a man." or something like that... That quote pretty much sums up the people of Hive in my mind and in context to everything that's been going on over the last few months.
Goals For Hive
I actually see the recent downtrend of Hive as a blessing for everyone active here now and I see it as a great time to welcome new people into the eco-system.
(Not financial advice... the truth is, nobody really knows what's going to happen or how much further we can fall or how long it'll be to rise once more.)
But, for anyone with enough money to be investing right now, it's a great time to buy Hive, 25 cents a coin means that we can 4x our investment into our accounts when it goes back to 1 euro. But, even if you're not investing and instead are choosing to get posting to earn some Hive that way, again, what you earn now is a 4xer or better, in the future... Just hodl and it'll all be grand.
I've been getting some good HP gains over the last few months, this month I wasn't as active as I had been in recent months though.
My goal was to reach 2100 by today, last month, on the 1st of December I had just reached 1871 so I think I did pretty well. I could have done better, but still, I'm really happy with the power-ups and I think it'll be a matter of time before I'm truly able to give back with my upvotes.
In the last few months, I've been increasing by 100 Hive, but just so I would reach my goal I had to power up by 116. That's the main reason I like to make sure I have a bit of liquid Hive sitting around.
There we have it, another goal reached and I couldn't be happier about it, I think after 1 year of being here I'm doing pretty well and have learned so much.
New Years Resolution/ Goals
Well, one of my goals is to self-publish the novel I created here on Hive. I think it'll be an amazing achievement and also, and I'll be giving Hive plenty of mentions in the book once I have it formatted and set to go.
Fatherhood is something I'm really looking forward to this year too, I think it's going to be an interesting experience.
My band, I'm in now has an agent too, which to me is amazing. It means that we have representation and due to having an agent we'll have a certain amount of weight behind our name I think when booking gigs. We got offered our first-ever Headline gig in Monroe's in Galway, we played there last month and soon after were contacted by the owner who really enjoyed the set.
On all fronts, everything seems to be going well and I have a really good feeling about this year!
