It is with great excitement that I write my very first post on this platform - Steemit. After overcoming the challenges I faced to have this account, Am very grateful to finally make it to this place. Hello! Everybody, this is Olukowade Kikelomo. Permit me to tell you a bit about myself.
Like I said a few lines above, my name is Olukowade Kikelomo. I am a Yoruba lady from Ogun state, in Nigeria. I grew up in a very lovely family of seven children. I am the 4th child and 2nd female.My father is late my mum is alive and well to the glory of God. Our parents really did their best to train us both morally and academically. Though things were not all that rosy for them, like every parent, they made sure we had whatever we needed to survive to the best of their ability. Because of our backgroung and upbringing, we grew up to appreciate hard-work and excellence. The nice characters we learned while still kids are helping us to deal with whatever life throws in front of us.
I attended St Anthony's nursery and primary school ijebu ode. It was fun to do the things that kids in school did. We enjoyed playing around and taking adventures. My secondary education was at Our lady of Apostles school. It was a school with lots of history. For my tertiery education, I proceeded to Tai Solarin University of Education all in ijebu ode. I Studied English and Social studies. That course enabled me to pursue a career in teaching, which I loved so much. Every graduate from tertiary institutions in Nigeria must complete a compulsory National Youths Service Corps (NYSC). For this 1 year compulsory service, I served in Jos, Platueu State. I met my husband during my service year 2006 we got married in Dec year 2007. We have children.
I am a teacher by profession its the major thing I do. Impacting knowledge and helping kids to grow into responsible adults is the career I have chosen. I have taught in some private schools, but now I am with Lagos state. Apart from the teaching profession, l also enjoy doing business. I love to buy and sell to make profits. I have engaged in various small-scale businesses to supplement what I earn from teaching. I am also a fashion enthusiast. I have learnt how to make fashion wears for ladies. I make some of the clothes I wear and also make for others in my spare time.
I saw an advert on a Major Social media platform about learning blogging. This free training was organized by Charles Okeke 
I love traveling ,reading literature, books and i love dancing. I am super excited to be here. I hope to connect with the really amazing people on Steemit and contribute my small efforts to make Steemit the number 1 social media platform ever.
