We continue talking about the Major Arcana that are an essential part of an interpretation for a tarot reading, remember that the tarot is composed of 78 cards divided into 3 large groups which are:
40 Minor Arcana: are identified through numbering and are divided into 4 types that are swords, clubs, cups and golds.
16 Letters of Honors: known as sotas, horses, kings and queens.
22 Major Arcana: These have name and number except for the loco that is assigned the number zero.
To understand an interpretation of this group of letters it is important to know that you are divided into 3 groups: Active, Passive and Neutral.
Active: are those that tell us actions and events that are fast approaching and that can hardly be avoided in addition to representing the events that will have the greatest impact on the life of the client. They demand action on the part of the consultant; Among the letters of this group we can mention: the magician, the empress, the emperor, the chariot, the devil, the tower and the madman.
Passive: These speak to us of situations of reflection, thought and maturing, point to a personal process of introspection, reflection before action. They also tell us about events that can be changed, but we must consider in a reading that the passive letters are strictly linked to the active ones so we have to interpret the whole circulation before offering the information to the client. The cards that make up the passive group are: the pope, the lovers, the hermit, the wheel of fortune (depending on the circulation this can be active), strength, hanging, death, temperance and the moon.
Neutral: these are interpreted making a connection with the passive and active cards of the print run, they show us options leaving the decision to the consultant. Among them are: The Empress, Justice, Star, Sun, Judgment and the World.
Next we will see the meaning of the major arcana in a general way and in its natural position since the reverse the letters have another meaning and we are trying only to show a generic level of interpretation since it is very complex to fully understand the tarot.
The Hanged Man: Growth, spirituality, self-denial.
Death: Renaissance, great changes.
Temperance: Adaptation, Maturity.
The Devil: Materialism, desire, destructive force.
La Torre: Unforeseen catastrophe, radical change.
The Star: Inspirational, good health.
The Moon: Longing for satisfaction, unforeseen problems.
The sun: Satisfaction, liberation, achievement of goals.
The Judgment: Development of knowledge, change in consciousness.
The World: Prize, culmination.
The Fool: Positive forces that influence decisions, indecision.
