When we look at trees we see them growing from the ground up. This plays with our intuition of where the mass of trees come from.
It comes from the air.
The carbon dioxide in the air is how trees grow. They are cleaning our air to grow.
Trees can provide 30% of the climate change solution by 2030 and just aren't talked about enough.
An Instagram page @project.195 has been set up to start the conversation of nature as a solution to climate change
"We are sleep-walking into one of the greatest acts of collective amnesia ever seen.
Nature can deliver 30% of the solution to climate change by 2030.
And yet it’s less than 1% of the conversation.
Together we can change this.
.
Don’t let nature become #theForgottenSolution
.
We have launched Project 195 to remind the world that nature is the original carbon-capture technology.
It’s affordable, scalable and available everywhere right now.
.
We are starting a movement in all 195 countries who signed the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
YOU CAN GET INVOLVED - tie a reminder ribbon round your favourite tree, and share using #theForgottenSolution
What is the tree that best represents you? Your country? Your town? Your home? Your family? Your life?
.
Every use of #theForgottenSolution, we plant another tree."
