Bro my first Division 7 AI match had me lowkey nervous because Division 6 was just free wins and I knew Division 7 AI was gonna try me. I was playing Chelsea with my green and yellow kit and first half was just mid. I had the ball most of the time with Rooney, De Bruyne and Gerrard in midfield but I couldn’t break them down. Aguero was making runs behind but the final ball was always a second late. Chelsea were just sitting in a low block and waiting for me to make a mistake. Van Dijk and the defense were solid though so I wasn’t worried about conceding. I kept trying to play through the middle but nothing was working. 0-0 at halftime and I told myself second half I need to actually shoot instead of passing it around the box forever because I was getting impatient.
Second half started and at 56 minutes it finally clicked. I picked up the ball with El-Hadji Diouf outside the box after a quick pass from De Bruyne. One defender came to press me and I cut inside, saw the gap and just smashed it. Bottom corner. 1-0. The game popped up “Goal” and Diouf ran to the corner with arms wide while the crowd went crazy. His 96 card was actually moving crazy this game. After that goal Chelsea AI started pushing up and leaving space behind and that’s exactly what I wanted. I turned up the pressure, started using Dash & Pressure to win it high and kept them pinned in their half. I wasn’t nervous anymore, I could feel 3 points coming. My passing got faster and I stopped overthinking every decision.
Then 59 minutes came and I got the second one which was the best goal of the game. Rooney picked it up in midfield from De Bruyne, drove at the defense and nobody stepped to him so he just let it rip from distance. Top bins. Keeper didn’t even move. 2-0 and the game showed “Golazo”. 97 Rooney was insane all match, passing, tackling, scoring, doing everything. At 2-0 I knew it was over because Chelsea had zero shots on target the whole game. My backline wasn’t even stressed, Van Dijk was just clearing everything. I started playing safer, keeping possession and not forcing stupid passes. I was switching the play, using the wings, and making the AI chase. Division 7 was starting to feel like Division 6 again and I was getting confident.
The third goal came at 63 minutes and that sealed it. Counter attack, Aguero got it on the halfway line, played a perfect through ball to Diouf and he was clean through. One touch and he slots it past the keeper. 3-0. The game gave me Skip and Goal Celebration because it was that kind of match. Diouf ended with 2, Rooney with 1, and my whole team was just clicking. Passing was clean, defense was locked, AI had no answer. After that I just ran the clock, passed it around the back, made them chase and waited for full time. Every time they tried to press I just played around it. Seeing 3-0 in my first Division 7 match felt so good because I wanted to start with a statement and not struggle.
Ending 3-0 in my first Division 7 AI match was perfect. 3 points, clean sheet, full control in the second half. Diouf and Rooney carried, midfield dominated, defense did its job. Coming from Division 6 I was scared it would be harder but it felt smooth once I got the first goal. The AI tried to press but my midfield was too strong and I was comfortable on the ball. If the next matches are like this I’m going straight back to Division 6. First game done, 3-0 win, and I’m ready for the next one because I’m not stopping here. Division 7 we move 💪
