Gameweek 5 was absolutely brutal for me i swear i have never been this annoyed playing FPL before because i went into the weekend with so much confidence in this ADRIANO FC team and i thought yeah this is the week i finally climb up my leagues and show these guys that i know what i am doing but then everything just collapsed right in front of my eyes and seeing that 41 points on my screen when the average for the gameweek was 48 just made me sick to my stomach, Raya my keeper only gave me 1 point, Gabriel my Arsenal defender that i have trusted since gameweek 1 also gave me 1 point, Matty Cash my Aston Villa guy that i brought in for attacking returns ended up with -1 point like how do you even get -1 as a defender you are supposed to at least get 2 points for playing, the only ones that even tried to save my backline were Gusto and Kayode with 4 points each but 4 points is nothing when your other two defenders are giving you 1 and -1, it was just a complete mess at the back.
My midfield was even more painful to watch because i had four players there that i expected at least one of them to haul but none of them showed up, Rashford gave me 3 points which is just average nothing special, Szoboszlai with 2 points after playing 90 minutes and doing nothing, Kudus was the only one that actually did something with 8 points but even that 8 points felt like nothing because the rest of the midfield was so dead, Cherki with 3 points as well so my midfield total was like 16 points from four players which is just terrible for FPL standards, and then up front i captained Haaland who gave me 12 points which was okay but not enough to carry the whole team and Havertz my second striker gave me 2 points and i was expecting him to at least get an assist against his opponent but he blanked completely and wasted like 3 big chances, so overall i ended up with 41 points and when i saw that the highest score in the gameweek was 126 i just knew i had messed up big time.
The worst part of all this is what it did to my position in all my leagues because i fell in every single league i am in and that is the most annoying thing about this low score, i went to check Cowrywise Ambassadors league which is my main competitive league where we have money involved and i saw Lebonbon at number one with 59 points this gameweek and 371 total points and i am somewhere far behind with my 41, Khalifa's Army second with 366 points, Oscar's Team with 361, AK with 360, Fast XI with 357, SAGE with 357, The Revelation FC with 356, Cyber Guru with 356, all these guys just passed me and gave me red arrows in every league and i was just scrolling through the table on Monday morning feeling so embarrassed because just last week i was inside top 5 and now i have dropped to outside top 10 in most of my leagues.
And if you look at my bench it makes it even more annoying because i had points sitting on the bench that i refused to play, i had Palmer there with 6 points and Keane with 0 and then Grach with 14 points and Walle Egeli with 6 points and i left 20 points on the bench just because i trusted Cash to start and keep a clean sheet, i thought Aston Villa would at least keep a clean sheet against their opponent but they conceded and Cash got booked and conceded a penalty or something and ended up with -1, so i benched a 14 pointer for a -1, how does that even make sense, i checked Lebonbon's team and he had Tarkowski with 14 points, Gvardiol with something, Palmer with 8 points as captain or something, Haaland 12, Calvert-Lewin 11, his team just clicked and mine just died, it is so painful when your rival gets everything right and you get everything wrong in the same gameweek.
Honestly gameweek 5 has taught me a big lesson and i need to fix this team quickly before gameweek 6 deadline which is Saturday 10th October at 11am because i cannot afford another 41 points, i am already thinking of wildcarding or at least taking a -4 to get rid of Cash and Havertz because those two are just dead weight in my team right now, Cash needs to go immediately i don't care if his price is 4.4m i am selling him for anyone else maybe a Sunderland defender or someone cheap that actually keeps clean sheets, and Havertz also needs to go maybe i bring in Calvert-Lewin or someone in form, i spent the whole of Monday and Tuesday just looking at my team and checking price changes and fixture difficulty ratings because i dropped from top 5 to like 12th in Cowrywise and also dropped in all my other public classic leagues like 1595697 and 1595700, it was very very annoying and i just hope gameweek 6 will be better because this 41 points really humbled me and made me look like i don't know anything about FPL.
