I have been wanting to participate in the hive open mic for a while but I didn't due to fear and the feeling of uncertainty and I only summoned courage after talking to 
This week's theme is titled my melody and I chose to sing flashlight by Jessie J because of its simple and sweet melody.
I first heard this song in pitch perfect 2 and immediately fell in love with it because of it's lyrics and the overall feel of the song.
This song speaks volumes to me because for a while I have felt totally lost but recently I met someone who has felt like a flashlight in my life and has given me a blink of hope for the future.
