tether just froze 1.45M $USDT sitting in THORChain's TRON vaults today

no hacks on THORChain but Tron swaps are now halted on the protocol

on TRON block 86958330: 4 of THORChain's 6 TRON vaults got added to the USDT blacklist in a single block

those 4 held 93% of its TRON USDT and they were less than a day old

~27 min later trading, THORChain's signing and LP actions on TRON were all halted

a blacklisted address can still receive USDT, it just can't send it. 13 deposits (~14k) landed in the frozen vaults before the halt

worse, ~363k of payouts are queued and almost all of it sits on frozen vaults. the clean ones hold ~109k

restarting signing won't pay those out

I don't think THORChain was even the target here. The vaults went into the same 3 blocks as ~30 other wallets. 19 of them have $500k USDT each

hope this gets resolved for THORChain. As of now, this looks like collateral damage and not intentional
