INVITE GOD INTO THE SITUATION
“Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy.” – Psalm 109:26.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 (NIV) says, “Jabez was more honourable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.”
Any situation that confronts man can be solved. A man named Jabez did not like the way his life turned out to be. He decided to call upon God to intervene in his situation. God freed him from his pain and blessed him. What is causing you pain? You might be born into poverty, but you must not remain poor.
Growing up you may have been rejected, but the situation can be turned. When your mindset changes, the direction of your life will take a new turn. Beloved, it starts with a desperate desire for a change. Enough of the shame, disgrace, and pain, call upon God to change your garment. Stop discussing the matter with man, ask God to step in.
Like Jacob, wrestle at the place of prayer, hold on to the horns of the altar and say, “God bless me, change my name, turn my scars to stars.” Isaiah 61:3 (NLT) ~ “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.” May God visit you and give you a new story.
