“As God's co-workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.” – 2 Corinthians 6:1, NIV.
We have a lot of limitations as humans, our strength can only accomplish little. Depending on our strength alone results in weariness. As believers, our walk with God is possible because of divine intervention. The grace of God is given to us to enable us do things with ease. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore, to receive the grace and remain fruitless in the kingdom is receiving the grace in vain. We need to just take a step of faith. You never know what you are capable of doing until you try. The Good News Translation of the previous verse says: "My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.” Most times, fear holds us back from stepping into new territories.
Whatever assignment you find yourself doing, believe that God has empowered you to accomplish it. By God’s grace, Nehemiah built the walls of Jerusalem, Moses led six hundred thousand men besides women and children and many livestock from Egypt through the wilderness on foot, Mary was able to birth and raise our Saviour (Jesus), the apostles were able to preach the gospel with all boldness despite the opposition, Saul became Paul and won Gentiles to God, etc.
Let us be conscious to attribute our accomplishments to God and be grateful to Him. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:10 (ESV) ~ “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” In summary, all things are possible when you rely on God. Tap into the grace.
