A week ago, there was an air show of the Indonesian Air force squadron in near airport. The show exposed several fighting jets and helicopters. The event was part of air force regular practice in the province. At the weekend, I brought kids to visit the air show so that they would learn and experience the military jets and other facilities.
The main purpose of the visit was introducing them the planes and choppers. I believed they would enjoy and like it. In fact, they did enjoy and take time to see around.
The typical show I think should be often carried out in order to introduce younger generation of state capacity. In addition, people also need to be proud of our military power. The air show might be one of other similar activities to introduce detail to kids mainly of how resource and capacity this country has. Beside, it might be a typical entertainment for community but importantly, introducing knowledge on air defense is vital.
Promoting nationalism is also significant through the air show. Many people never see or experience what the country has on its national defense system. The moment is believed would trigger people to respect and be proud of the country.
So, wish another similar event comes.
