Recently seen a post saying that PayPal is now allowing customers to pay for online purchases using certain crypto currency’s, I’ve also heard an advert from PayPal that customers are now able to pay in store using a QR code.
I tried to find some research on the situation surrounding the above but there doesn’t seem to be a lot, Crypto on PayPal is only available in the US at the moment, I have PayPal on my mobile and use the QR payment method if someone else has it, I’ve emailed PayPal UK to find out if I will be able to pay directly in store with PayPal QR using Crypto as my currency as the PayPal app automatically changes it from crypto to USD on online purchases, if more high street shops take up the QR code payment system allowing customers to pay through PayPal then it could see Crypto going mainstream earlier than expected but the purchases would still be made in native currency with PayPal making the transfer.
Waiting for a response from PayPal as to when this will be available.
