I mainly used it to make a purchase of MakerDAO. MakerDAO has recently caught my attention because of the shortcomings from USDT.
Maker creates a loan system that generates a stabletoken called Dai. It's market cap is quite high, but the project is very optimistic and has been around the crypto space for quite some time in order to achieve a stable token. It is a governance token that is autonomous. It can push the Ethereum cryptocurrency ecosystem to new heights.
The project is hoping that people will not realize they are using Dai when they are making a USD exchange.
$1 USD will consistently be worth around $1. It has already been adopted by a few exchanges and some supply-chain companies.
It has been over an hour, HitBTC has not processed my withdrawal.
The worst part was a paid a hefty premium to get MakerDAO. Commercial price was $580. I paid $640.
Apart from the premium paid, they did not provide info regarding a withdrawal fee. It showed Maker withdrawal as null, and now it is currently processing my small order with a charge of 0.04 MKR. That is $25 for a withdrawal!
It is currently 5 PM PDT as I'm writing this.
You will pay the highest fees using this exchange. AVOID at all cost! Stick to Binance if possible. Use a DEX like Airswap if you really want MakerDAO.
Now that MKR is losing in value, I've lost more than $120 within a few hours for an unprocessed transaction. PURE GARBAGE! I'm sure a DEX like Airswap would have made this transaction more worthwhile.
