Crypto market shakeout is pretty intense.
Right now, I feel the level of the market drop is intense enough for me to realize that there are few coins that can measure up to the expectations of Bitcoin.
I will try to acquire some more Bitcoin if this market continues to fall. It seems like the only realistic long term bet.
May take some chances with more Ethereum Classic and Airswap in these bear markets. I have done some research on the valuation of Ethereum Classic and I believe it has the community and developers to prosper.
To me, maybe ETC can be like Vitalik's "Frankenstein's monster." Right now, EOS is not looking good. Other alts have fallen too low to even consider selling. Airswap is at a blistering low of less than $20 million market cap. How low could it go?
Still, Joseph Lubin's Bitcoin bet with Jimmy Song is still an enticing event. We still don't know if any of these alt-coins will succeed, but I can at least appreciate the community and efforts behind them. That is an honorable cause whether or not Bitcoin maximalists believe they have any value otherwise.
In the end, Bitcoin's the best play for decentralized value. I will try to accumulate more of it. As for alt-coins, I will try to continuously adjust my portfolio. The teams just keep having to work and keep their product alive.
