Have u ever thought what happens to your smartphones when u over charge it or most common myth is your smartphone blasts off when u overcharge it.
Here is a best suited answer for the stuff.
Actually let me divide conversation into few topics which will give u clear idea about stuff
1)what happens when u overcharge ur phone?
Now smartphones are made so that it could be used by both masses and classes,and all the people using it are not just perfect they can make error of keeping the phone for charging and then they forget it and come back after 2-3 hrs and till then battery is overcharged or some people wants to have just full battery life before they start so they keep at night for charging phone .Hence battery gets fully charged by morning and also overcharged, manufacturers wants to satisfy both the costumers and also doesnt want that the phones doesnt explode while charging,hence they came up with technique that can over come error also satisfy it users.
When u charge ur phone it starts charging and goes to the limit of about 100% that's basic but when we still keep it on charging ,our smartphones are just smart to not take current from it anymore and thus it keeps it till that also they are designed that way that it basically doesnt blast offs with few min off charging.

2)Now there is actually no problem in charging phone at overnight, but there are certain precautions u need take care off while doing this.
1)Actually our smartphone is smart enough to stop current going to the battery when fully charged,but when u keep it overnight there is chance that the phone temperature rise up due to overcharging which actually corrodes the battery and on the top of it if u have phone case over it there are no ways that heat can get dissipated so it basically corrodes battery,hence while overnight charging u need to remove back cover of it.
Also u need to use official chargers because using chargers of third party company can also damage it without u actually knowing it,so u need to use official charger coming from company or use the chargers coming from big company like samsung and apple and beware of duplicate ones to.I insist to buy original one because stoppage of current from socket is done by charger if it's duplicate kind of things so safety measures arent upto mark and thus leads to explosion or degradation of battery.6
Also our phones have limited charge cycles that is can only countable time can charge ur phone from 0-100% hence to maintain that u better start charging it from 25% and take it upto 80-100%.a
If u dont take such precautions while charging there few chances that phone starts to drain and lag and hence its better to take precautions and then use it.
So see to it that u take proper precaution and charge ur phone to maintain healthy life of it.
See the above thing I said is perfectly a technical fact but on same side I feel that if u want some urgency on smartphone at morning so u can keep it overnight but when u do this thing for long period say about 1-2 years it may shorten life of battery as a battery is applying full power to not to take current from it and thus it's life span reduces.Also better idea when u wake up charge ur phone 1-2 hrs and then start ur day definetly it wont be overcharged an also it will lead a good battery life.
The articles aim was that there is no point in worrying that when u overcharge ur phone it will blasts off or something else it's aim was to break the myth that is in the society about overcharging.
