Personal finance isn't even a formal subject taught in the public schools in Canada. It's really up to our own initiative to make the effort to acquire the knowledge. There is almost nothing more empowering for a woman is to have personal finance skills. I believe the subject of Economics is meant to be dull, boring, and frustrating. Designed to make us dependent on their system. I've asked my Financial advisor what's the difference between Keynesian and Austrian economics only to discover that my advisor is just a sales person. 🙄
