Sure, credit cards and digital banking can make commerce easier and arguably improve and develop a given economy much faster than if only by cash but it comes at a cost when we don't use it responsibly. I like physical cash because seeing and handling it makes me think whether I really need the purchase I am about to make, it tempers me to avoid impulsive and frivolous spending. Sometimes I can get a little cash discount because I know the Vendor pays an additional 3 to 7% fee to the privilege of financing a transaction by credit card.
